EDIFICE and Honda Racing collaborated to create this solar-powered chronograph inspired by Japan’s first Grand Prix racing world champion motorcycle. This Honda Racing Limited Edition pays homage to the legendary RC162 bike that conquered the world. Join the 60th anniversary celebration of Honda’s historic 1961 victory with a timepiece honoring the first Japanese world champion motorcycle. The aluminum bezel and dial are specially processed in a nod to the bike’s hammered aluminum fairing — and accented in fuel-tank red and fairing-stripe yellow. The genuine leather band evokes the 60s Honda logo and racing suits of the day, and the Honda Racing logo is featured on the dial, band loop, and case back.

A legendary victory, revisited in collaboration with Honda Racing

EDIFICE collaborates with Honda, a well-known Japanese brand that has been bringing the spirit of motor sports to the world for decades. 2021 marks the 60th anniversary of the 1961 Honda victory in Round 2 of the 250cc Grand Prix in West Germany, the first Japanese racer to win a Road Racing World Championship. The EDIFICE Honda Racing Limited Edition pays homage to this historic feat.

A dial that pays homage to a legendary machine

Modelled after the legendary RC162 that powered the first Japanese racer to victory at the 1961 Road Racing World Grand Prix, the bezel and dial evoke the bike’s hammered aluminium fairing. Also featured are the fairing’s yellow stripe and old Honda logo, as well as the red of the fuel tank.

A leather band with
roots in racing

The band is genuine leather, black on
the front and red on the back.
A series of bumps on the outer side
recalls the racing suits, and the attached
fabric label and band loop feature the Honda logo.
