Tokyo, January 25, 2018 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today that it will release two new electronic keyboards with advanced specifications for serious performing and playing. The CT-X5000/X3000 keyboards feature the new AiX Sound Source,*1 which reproduces the appealing sound of acoustic instruments, and a new audio system that generates powerful sound.
- *1 Acoustic Intelligent multi-eXpression (AiX) Sound Source
In 2015, Casio released the CELVIANO Grand Hybrid line of digital pianos designed to deliver the tone, keyboard quality, and playing comfort of a grand piano. These pianos feature the highly-acclaimed AiR Grand Sound Source, which reproduces the beautiful sound and rich reverberation as a grand piano.
The CT-X5000/X3000 keyboards feature the new AiX Sound Source for electronic keyboards, leveraging expertise that Casio accumulated in developing sound sources for digital pianos. The keyboards provide high-quality tones ranging from powerful and stirring bass tones to clear high tones. Utilizing the computational power of a new LSI, the keyboards faithfully reproduce the appealing sound of acoustic instruments including a resonance that corresponds to the strength of each piano keystroke, the sensation of drums, and soaring strings.
The keyboards provide 100 high-performance Digital Signal Processor (DSP) effects that combine various algorithms to realize diverse sound effects, enabling richly expressive playing to suit the user. With large-magnet bass reflex speakers and a 15W+15W*2 high-output amplifier (maximum output, CT-X5000 model), the keyboards deliver powerful sounds whether used at home or performing in a large venue. The speakers are embellished with red highlights, giving the keyboards a stylish and iconic look.
- *2 CT-X3000 is equipped with a maximum output 6W+6W amplifier.
Moving forward, Casio will actively expand its lineup of electronic keyboards equipped with the AiX Sound Source.
