RACE REPORT

The Ardennes' deep forest is the stage of Belgian Grand Prix, that's the Spa-Francorchamps Circuit. It's famous for its “Spa Weather" describes the changeable sky of the mountain. It's desirable stage for Sebastian who is one of the wet-masters, but his interest is not the weather.

“I hope the weather will be according to what we need and according to our liking," he said. “If that means rain, then it is rain. If it is dry, then it is dry. In the end, our target here is to get the maximum points, so our target is to win, so I would like to have winning conditions on Sunday. I don't care if it's wet or dry or both. In the end, you have to be quick, no matter what the conditions."

It can be said this is Sebastian's second home race because it's only an hour drive from Germany to Spa. Indeed, a lot of fans and media came from his country. Just before the race weekend, CASIO's press conference was held in the paddock of Spa. It was the first look at the special Sebastian Vettel model. Many people rushed to the Red Bull's Energy Station to see the new watch and himself.

“I'm very proud of being an ambassador of CASIO. I think it suits our team very much because Red Bull is the most dynamic team out of the teams in Formula One. We are young and fresh. So it's good fit me and our team. We have been through a couple of process, but this is the first time to see this finished model. It's great to see."

This years' Spa was not like before and the sky was dried out on Saturday and Sunday. It's not clear if that was the reason or not, Sebastian's qualifying didn't go well and he had to start from 8th grid. “Obviously I love racing, I always want to win," he smiled. "It doesn't matter the race goes which way that I need to pass the others or I can start from the pole."

He never tells a lie. He fought with the guys in front aggressively and climbed the leader board. Finally he got the last place of podium. It had been a tough period for last a few races, but now he brought the momentum back to his side again. The fight for the championship is re-started from now on!

“I lost too much ground to the leading cars in the first stint, but in the second and third stints the car was fantastic, I didn't make any mistakes and was pushing like it was qualifying on every lap. It was a pleasure to drive the car and we were quicker than the guys in front. We've proven that we are back!"
