This is Istanbul. Europe meets Asia and that two continents kiss each other here. There are a lot of mosques in the town and it's very "the East and the West". Massive Bosporus Bridge connect the Europe to Asia now, and the Formula One circus has come to this stage.
The Istanbul Park Circuit, the stage of Turkish Grand Prix, has uncommon identity that we can't find in any other circuits. That is "Turn Eight". It has four high-speed corners and drivers have to fight with 4G, tyres cry out being pushed by 760kg load for six seconds.
"It's left, left, left, left...basically four left corners in a row" he explains. "It has three apex and it's quite tricky. Top of that it's very fast and nearly full throttle around 230kph to 250kph, so it's always big challenge. And there are some quite sever bumps which likely to upset your car, so you need to treat with it. It makes it one of most challenging corners in the Formula One!"
This is a place where he has huge memory. He debuted in Formula One session as a Friday driver. From that moment he suddenly came to a place under spot lights because he recorded top time even though he was only a one of many young drivers.
He couldn't fight in the way he wanted for last a few races, but he keeps his mind as open ass when he began. "We have to see first of all and analyze the mistake and then we have to learn and try not to repeat. I think it's much important now for us and for me as a driver" He did fantastic job in qualifying and grabbed the Pole Position as his words. He raised his hands in the cockpit again and again because he could feel pleasure and satisfaction after the process of walking through the path of suffering.
But today was not his day. He lost the lead with his own mistake and he had to finish the race because his strategy didn't work well. He always shows smiles but of course he has huge frustration.
"I think we have to accept that they were on a different planet" he said. "I'm not happy but I think we can be very satisfied to take second and third and it is getting closer, so that is a goo thing. I think we have reasons to be confident. There are new bits to come in Silverstone, so let's see"
Next race will be British Grand Prix, home of motorsports. It has become 60 years from the very first race of Formula One World Championship in 1950 here Silverstone. Sebastian will try to recover the energy in the birth place of Formula One.
