Singapore, 9 March 2017 – Casio Singapore has announced the latest addition to its FR series of freestyle, action cameras – the EXILIM EX-FR100L. An enhanced version of the EX-FR100 designed especially for ladies, the elegant EX-FR100L makes legs look longer and slender with the help of a 16mm wide-angle lens, Long Legs guide, and Make-up Art function.

Look like a supermodel with the new Long Legs guide

The new Long Legs guide function creates full-length portraits that make legs look longer and more slender by superimposing a guiding layer within the image frame to indicate where to position the face and feet. Coupled with a super-wide-angle 16mm lens, the EX-FR100L delivers expansive images and offers a natural appearance of beautifully long legs.

Make both faces and background beautiful with new Make-up Art function

Exclusive to the EX-FR100L, the new Make-up Art function highlights the user’s beauty while enhancing the surrounding scenery. The camera achieves impressive image results by applying an original image analysis and processing faces and background scenes separately.

The EX-FR100L offers two modes, the Make-up Vivid and the Make-up HDR, under the Make-up Art function. Both modes adjust skin smoothness while increasing the colour saturation and contrast of the background in an image.

The Make-up Vivid mode boosts colour saturation and background contrast to produce vivid colours for a pop-art dimension, while the Make-up HDR mode emphasises contours to produce visually artistic images which look like paintings.

Greater customisability for the ideal skin complexion

To make selfies even more beautiful, the EX-FR100L reproduces the smoothness and tone of natural skin after detecting the user’s face in the image. Users can adjust between twelve levels of skin smoothness and six levels of skin tone, and can brighten or darken the complexion as desired.

Well-suited for capturing self-portraits everywhere

The EX-FR100L camera and controller units can be configured in various ways to achieve different shooting styles. As with previous FR cameras, the EX-FR100L has a detachable design to enable hands-free shooting, where users can shoot remotely by simply detaching the controller from the camera and positioning the camera wherever they wish. To make legs appear even longer, users can place the camera unit on the ground and snap a selfie using the controller unit.

The EX-FR100L can also be configured with the lens and liquid crystal display (LCD) screen facing the same way for taking selfies. Users can also opt to join the camera and controller units together in the form of a conventional compact camera which is ideal for taking group photographs and scenic landscapes.
