CASIO Collaborates with FIFA on Officially Licensed Timepieces Exclusive Original Lineup for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™

January 25, 2006, Tokyo, Japan -- CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. announced the latest addition to its timepiece collection with a series of officially licensed watches designed exclusively for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™. CASIO, the licensee for the product category Watches, concluded a Product License Agreement with the world football governing body FIFA in early 2005 granting them an exclusive worldwide license to sell watches and clocks bearing the Official Marks of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ and FIFA Brand around the world. CASIO’s Official Licensed Timepiece offerings include the WEF-507WC-1AVDR, the Official 2006 FIFA World Cup™ Model. This sporty and stylish metal chronograph includes an image of the FIFA World Cup Trophy on the watch face. In addition, there are four versions of the popular G-SHOCK. The first is a round-faced model in eye-catching yellow and pitch green, the second is a square-faced model with black bands and white case. Both have the FIFA Brand Licensee Emblem on the band holder, the Official Emblem of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ on the reverse casing, and when the backlight is engaged GOLEO VI the Official Mascot of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ appears. The third and fourth Official Licensed G-SHOCK offerings are the square-faced black colored DW-56RTWC-1VDR and the square-faced white colored DW-56RTWC-7DR. Both have the FIFA World Cup Trophy on the watch band, the FIFA Brand Licensee Emblem on the band holder, and the Official Emblem of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ on the reverse casing. These models also include a referee timer function that enables quick confirmation of stoppage time via dual stopwatches located at the top and bottom of the LCD. Both stopwatches begin the countdown simultaneously, and when play is stopped the top watch is stopped with a simple press of a button while the bottom watch continues counting down, adding an interactive element of fun to these G-SHOCK 2006 FIFA World Cup™ licensed models. Rounding out CASIO’s Official Licensed Timepiece collection is the HS-60WC-7DF Stopwatch, which includes the Official Emblem of the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ on the stopwatch case front and the FIFA Brand Licensee Emblem on the back of the stopwatch case.
