July 22, 2005, Tokyo, Japan -- CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. announced
the release of the newest additions to the G-SHOCK line with the G-SHOCK
C3 G-8000 series of men’s timepieces. Evolving from
the sporty ruggedness of the traditional G-SHOCK, the new C3
has an advanced and futuristic urban design. This simplicity and sharpness
is complemented by a digital graphics-like display, with a fun LED
indicator that flashes during alarm, timer, and stopwatch operations.
The C3 reflects modern creative cyber technology and the
contemporary trendsetters who embrace it.
Since
Casio’s introduction of the G-SHOCK 22 years ago, it has been
on the cutting-edge of youth fashion. Packing the latest features
and functions into a straightforward design, the G-SHOCK has been
pushing the boundaries of wristwatch design and technology. Combining
the legendary toughness with a visionary look and feel, the C3
represents a new chapter in the G-SHOCK story.
The
G-SHOCK C3 makes an impact with its sleek design and offering
of three glossy and two matte finish colors. The displays on two of
the models boast a fresh looking reverse LCD, with illuminated colors
on a dark background, giving the sense of the latest in digital cool.
As with all offerings in the G-SHOCK line, these newest additions
are shock resistant, water resistant to 200 meters, and feature World
Time. C3 stands for the creativity, communicative style,
and contemporary design of these new watches that tell more than time;
they make a statement whether they are on the wrist of a techno DJ
or an innovative IT designer.
The C3 series brings the G-SHOCK in from the rugged outdoors
and puts a decidedly modern and urban twist on the concept, reshaping
and redefining what G-SHOCK can be, without sacrificing any of the
toughness one expects from Casio. |
