All the tone quality and keyboard touch of a full concert grand The uncompromising quality designed into the Privia puts professional-level playability at your fingertips.
A new Tri-element AIF* Sound Source embodies the very best of CASIO waveform technology to take digital piano sound quality so close to that of an acoustic concert grand piano as humanly possible. High-precision stereo sampling of a grand piano combines with a new special filter for sounds that reverberate with amazing acoustic reality. Pressing keyboard keys sounds notes that change and decay smoothly with acoustically correct realism.
The Tri-element system uses three different waveforms of each note, which makes it possible to produce realistic sounds at different key pressures.
An original AIF* Sound Source system accurately communicates the nuance of each key to the sound source, for output that's shaped and colored exactly as you intended. Everything from delicate pianissimos to booming fortissimos ring out with virtually all the natural clarity of an acoustic grand piano.
The Privia is capable of 128-note polyphony, which means that notes reverberate naturally without being cut off during high-speed passages and performances that required intensive damper pedal operations. It also provides plenty of playability for four-hand duets as well.
*Acoustic & Intelligent Filtering System
A ZPI sound source and HL sound source use precision samples of a concert grand piano that make it possible to reproduce exquisite piano sound. The ZPI sound source in particular incorporates an innovative "Tri-element" system that produces sound of different nuances in accordance with the amount of pressure applied to the keyboard. The result is rich piano playability that captures every nuance of the music being played.
A spring-less hammer system that is similar to the one used by grand pianos provides a keyboard touch that is naturally firm. Lower notes play relatively heavier than higher notes, just like the keys on a grand piano. Everything about the Privia is designed and built to produce true concert grand piano sound and feel.
CASIO's advance high-density mounting technology makes it possible to pack all of the powerful features and functions of the Privia into a compact, lightweight configuration. The elegant design of the model that includes an integrated stand and 3-pedal unit creates an authentic piano experience. The stand-alone model features a contemporary digital piano design that can be used just about anywhere. Of course, you can purchase an optionally available stand for this model as well. All of this means that the Privia lineup has something to suit virtually any digital piano need imaginable.
In addition to grand piano tones, the Privia also includes strings, pipe organ, and other tones. A Layer feature allows simultaneous play of two tones, and a Split feature lets you split the keyboard between two different tones.
