TOKYO, February 8, 2012 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., today announced the release of the new EXILIM® EX-ZR20 compact digital camera. This newest addition to the EXILIM family of digital cameras boasts a wide-angle 25 mm, 8x optical zoom lens and is packed with features that make taking fun, beautiful photos effortless anywhere, anytime.

In 2011, Casio released the EX-ZR15 and EX-ZR200 cameras powered by the EXILIM Engine HS, which delivers both high-speed shooting and high-speed image processing, enabling users to shoot beautiful pictures in rapid sequence with a single press of the shutter. The cameras have proven popular for their ease of use and advanced shooting functions, which surpass anything that conventional digital cameras have been able to do.

The new EX-ZR20 offers the same ease of use, shooting in as little as 0.26 seconds between photos* and featuring a 0.13-second high-speed auto focus.* The stylish, compact body is also equipped with a wide range of shooting functions that enable anyone to take beautiful, fun photos.

The EX-ZR20 takes great photos and videos with a single press of the shutter, thanks to Casio’s Premium AUTO PRO and Premium Auto Movie technologies. Premium AUTO PRO enables state-of-the-art auto shooting and automatically merges images taken with high-speed continuous shooting according to the shooting conditions, to dramatically improve final image quality in challenging situations such as backlighting, night scenes and zoom shooting. With Premium Auto Movie, the camera automatically analyzes the scene to choose the best settings including for Full High-Definition (HD) movies.

The EX-ZR20 also boasts enhanced functions for shooting fun photos. High-Speed (HS) Night Shot combines images taken with high-speed continuous shooting, producing bright shots of scenes that appear dark to the naked eye—all without using a flash—and delivering sensitivity up to the equivalent of ISO12800. Art Shot offers seven different effects for creating artistic photos, such as miniature and toy camera effects.
