TOKYO, March 18, 2010 — Casio Computer Co., Ltd., announced today the release of two new shock-resistant G-Shock watches for people who are ready to party and play. The new GA-110 models boast individualistic designs in a bold color scheme using orange, green, and other colors on the case, face and watchband.

Since the release of the original G-Shock watch in 1983, the G-Shock brand of casual watches has won overwhelming popularity among young people, due to its superior shock resistance and totally unique designs. G-Shock watches with art, music, sports or other youth-culture themes have a big following among teenagers who want to emphasize their individuality. The G-Shock watch has become an indispensable fashion piece for today’s younger generation.

The new GA-110 watches typify the solid look that the G-Shock series is known for, through a combination of the boastfully-sized case and the multidimensional watch face with gear-motif hands and LCDs. The new models also exude pure street fashion energy with bold color schemes such as orange and green on the case, face and watchband. These watches introduce a playful design that gives a whole new twist to the G-Shock image.

The GA-110 comes in two models. The GA-110A features gear-motif hands and LCDs in contrasting colors, with orange or yellow as the base colors. The GA-110B features a tone-on-tone scheme in three color choices of blue, green or pink. The radical colors of both models are reminiscent of the world-renowned culture of Japanese animation, and complemented with a glossy finish that gives off a different shine in various light conditions.

Like every new Casio product, the new watches offer plenty of function, such as superior shock resistance, as well as ISO-compliant magnetic resistance. They also feature a stopwatch to 1/1000th of a second.
